It can't see my photos, or only some of them

RefreshMyPhone needs access to your photo library to find what can be cleaned. Open Settings → Apps → RefreshMyPhone → Photos and choose Full Access. With Limited Access it only sees the photos you picked, so most of your library is left out.

I deleted something I wanted

Photos and videos go to Recently Deleted in the Photos app for 30 days. Open Photos → Utilities → Recently Deleted, select them and tap Recover. Files go to Recently Deleted in the Files app in the same way.

I cleaned up, but my free space hasn't changed

Deleted items still take space until Recently Deleted is emptied — iOS does it by itself after 30 days. To free it now, open Photos → Utilities → Recently Deleted and tap Delete All. Items deleted from there are gone for good.

Compression or a move to iCloud Drive stopped

Compression carries on in the background on iOS 26; on earlier versions it continues when you reopen the app or overnight while your iPhone charges. Moving a video to iCloud Drive needs iCloud Drive turned on and enough iCloud storage. If iCloud is full the app says so, and nothing is removed from your iPhone.

Buying, and restoring a purchase

The lifetime unlock is a single purchase through your Apple Account. On a new iPhone, or after reinstalling, open Settings in the app and tap Restore purchase. Family members in your Family Sharing group get it too. Refunds are requested from Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com; we cannot issue them.

Why can't it clear System Data or other apps' caches?

iOS doesn't let any app reach other apps' data or system files. The app's What else is taking space? guide shows where to act on each of those yourself.
